From the Master Builders Association of King & Snohomish Counties:
In this season of giving it seems appropriate to remind you to start thinking of all the people you are in contact with and determining who could benefit by applying for the Master Builders of King and Snohomish County’s Rampathon 2017.
Our event will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2017 and while that seems like a long time away the process takes quite a bit of time and our
application window is right around the corner.
APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED: JANUARY 1 – MARCH 1, 2017
We have no idea how many ramps we will be able to build this year as we are also just starting our recruiting for captains as well, but last year we proudly built 37 free ramps for our neighbors in need! That was an all-time high and we’d like to try to surpass that in 2017!
Important to remember is these are completely free to the recipients who are selected.
Please remind those applying that we need detailed information about their personal requirement for the ramp – arthritis, stroke, neuropathy, cerebral palsy, etc. We often don’t receive this information and it’s important in the selection process to determine why our applicants are in need. Additionally, please remind the applicant to include a couple of photos of the area. We can tell in a quick look whether there are going to be any complications to adding a ramp in a particular area. If there is we can come check out the property for other options.
