Areas of Expertise:

Eva is Assistant CCER Director of Programs and the Director of Accessible Design and Innovative Inclusion (ADII) project for CCER. She coordinates and manages projects related to accessibility assessment, WA State Department of Corrections (WADOC) - TBI and Corrections Knowledge Translation Project, and other provisions of the ADA and related federal and state requirements for businesses, state and local governments, and stakeholders. She was the Assistant Director of the NWADAC from 2016 through 2018. Ms. de Leon has 20 years of extensive, progressively responsible experience in counseling, advocacy, continuing education, technical assistance, and service delivery of rehabilitation counseling, disability services, and employment programs.


Relevant Experience:

Eva received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and her Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Western Washington University (WWU), and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). She has been in the field of vocational rehabilitation counseling and employment services for about 14 years, as a vocational rehabilitation counselor at the Washington State Department of Services for the Blind (DSB). She currently serves as an Advisory Committee member at WWU's Rehabilitation Counseling graduate program. Eva was an appointee to the Governor's Committee on Disability and Employment Issues (GCDE) and served as the Co-Chair of the Youth Leadership Forum, a subcommittee of the GCDE, from 2009-2014.
